A 3.8% Medicare tax on real estate sales starting in 2013?

With the presidential campaigns going into high gear as the Republicans duke it out for their candidate, there are lots of subtle ways to get negative messages out.

My least favorite is the email full of scary language that sounds true but really isn’t.  This week I’ve received a similar email from multiple people trying to educate me on a little secret that Obama has supposedly snuck into the 2010 Health Care bill that will effect anyone selling real estate starting next year.

These emails have been circulating for years but what made this different is that they referenced the “National Association of Realtors (NAR)” – click HERE to see the original email.  The reality is NAR has already made their statement clarifying this legistlation.  So, what is the truth?  Enter Snopes.com.
